Session Terms and Conditions


I am looking forward to meeting you and your family. I ask all clients to please read through the below information covering the details of your photoshoot, these terms will need to be agreed to prior to your shoot.


Session Policies and Requests 


 We request that clients arrive 5-10 minutes early as not to be late for the shoot. Asanka Dissanayaka Photography is not responsible for missed sessions and will not be able to extend the session if clients are late.


Mini sessions are not inclusive of groups over five people (No Exceptions). Please do not bring anyone “extra” to be in photographs outside your immediate family. Mini Sessions are too quick for large groups or big families (5 or more children) and clients should schedule a regular session for these situations. Please discuss any special circumstances with Asanka Dissanayaka Photography prior to booking so we can choose the perfect session for you!

Use of other cameras, including cell phones are not permitted during your session time. It can be confusing for little ones to know which camera to be looking at.


Location and Fees


Sessions are held on specific days on a specific location of Asanka Dissanayaka Photography’s choice. These vary throughout the year.


The Client acknowledges that the quantity of photographs can vary greatly and that photography by nature is an art, subject to the creativity of Asanka Dissanayaka Photography and his personal artistic style.


Any additional images will be available for you to add on from your online gallery. Additional digital collections will be extra charges.


Original unedited RAW files are not available for purchase. Asanka Dissanayaka Photography will provide high resolution digital files via and online gallery. Online gallery available only for 3 weeks . Client need to download the pictures with in 3 weeks. Re uploading gallery will be extra charge.


Copyright in the Images

Asanka Dissanayaka Photography owns and retains copyright of all images created.


If the Client posts the images on Facebook or Instagram, Asanka Dissanayaka Photography would very much appreciate any referrals or links back to the Asanka Dissanayaka Photography FB page,website or Instagram page. Images can be tagged or refer .


Asanka Dissanayaka Photography will provide the Client with the digital files (photographs) within four weeks from the shoot. Images will not be released until Client has paid all money due under this Agreement in full.


$50 Deposit at the time of booking to reserve your session. Choice of time slot is given to clients on a first-come, first-served basis. We do not hold your preferred time spot until we receive payment.


Rescheduling/Cancellation

If a client cannot make their date/time for the session after they book and payment is received, Asanka Dissanayaka Photography will do their best to fill in the time slot. If the time spot is able to be filled, refund to the client is up to the discretion of Asanka Dissanayaka Photography. No refund will be given if a canceled time spot is unable to be filled for any reason.


If a session needs to be rescheduled due to severe weather, that is up to Asanka Dissanayaka Photography. If the weather is questionable check your email in the morning or text 780 965 2393. If you cannot make the rescheduled date, Asanka Dissanayaka Photography will refund the cost of the session fee.


RETOUCHING, CONVERSIONS AND DIGITAL FILES

Standard retouching includes light blemish and stray hair removal. Complex retouching includes such changes as the removal of scars or heavy blemishes. Tonal conversions include converting color images to black-and-white. Files are automatically lightly retouched and available in color and black and white for no added fee. Complex retouching may result in an additional fee.


MODEL RELEASE

I hearby grant Asanka Dissanayaka Photography full permission to use any and all photographs taken and presented by such for the purpose of display, portfolio, advertising, website or publication to promote Asanka Dissanayaka Photography. I also consent that images may be used without additional compensation to the undersigned. I am of full age and have the right to contract in my own name. I have read this model release and fully understand the contents thereof. I have legal authority to grant these permissions and I accept all responsibility for such. I am at least 18 years of age. If my children are photographed, I am the parent/legal guardian of the child(ren) being photographed, and am signing on his/her behalf.
